Staub Cast Iron Pots and Pans
All Staub Cookware is designed by Francis Staub and is made from Enamelled Cast Iron which gives its reputive outstanding performance. Even though the French Staub Cookware will of course be heavy, it has so many benefits including even heat distribution which eliminates hot spots that would otherwise potentially ruin your food. Cast Iron is excellent at retaining heat as well, and so can be used on a low heat setting which brings our more of the flavour and is ideal for ‘slow cooking’.
The underside of most of the Staub Cookware will not warp and is very reliable, allowing you to make the most delicate tasting dishes. To ensure the enamelled surface on all Staub Cookware is not ruined, we do recommend using either wooden or silicone utensils. All of these delightful pieces of cookware are dishwasher safe, but we do recommend cleaning it with hot soapy water as this is the most effective and simple way to clean your cookware, it’ll even make it last longer!
None of the Staub Cookware needs to be seasoned as there is a black matted enamel on the inside and outside of the cookware, which is almost indestructible. Over a period of time, your casserole or wok or other piece of cookware will create its own natural non-stick, as the oil you use when cooking will penetrate the pores of the matte enamel.
