Paella Pans and Paella Cooking Systems

We buy our paella pans from Valencia in Spain – the original home of paella. Paella actually takes its name from the dish in which it is cooked. The paella pan is traditionally a shallow pan made from steel with a handle at each side, as ours are.
The rice used in making paella also originates in the Valencian region. It a type of rice that is ideal for soaking up all those delicious juices that are produced when cooking paella. The traditional recipe for valencian paella does not include seafood – but rabbit and snails! These ingredients may not be to everyone’s taste, so it’s fine to use just what you like! For example many people love to include mussels, prawns, calamari and chicken in their paellas, which is of course just fine. There are no rules her – just cook and enjoy!
To allow you to enjoy your paella even more, we also stock a variety of paella outdoor cooking systems. These are ideal for impromptu cooking as they are gas powered and easily transportable, so they are ideal for camping and caravanning.
