This great knife block set is made by the Damascus method from 67 layers of steel, the Damascus method is how traditional Japanese Samurai swords were made. This provides a very hard edge yet remains flexible and not brittle.
The full-tang Construction and secure three rivet handle detail, provides these knives with style, balance and professional quality. Handles are made from Pakkawood from Spain with an attractive and distinctive grain detail, blades are crafted from 66 layers of steel which is stainless, folded around a central core of VG-10 steel providing outstanding performance in use. A well-designed bolster provides excellent finger protection, and a Hand-finished edge results in a knife with really superior qualities of sharpness.
